When will CCH transition to UPHS Compensation/Benefit plan?

Michele Fletcher
AVP Human Resources
UPHS

Full integration of UPHS Compensation and Benefits is a long term strategy.

In the short term, if a CCH or UPHS employee is offered employment they will be subject to the compensation/benefit plan that is currently in place at the receiving organization. We ask employees who are transferring between entities to seek the guidance of HR so they are aware of the impact of change on their compensation and benefits.

Compensation in the regional market varies by geographic location. Higher compensation structure exists in the city of Philadelphia due to city wage tax, commuting and parking costs. UPHS currently has a city/suburban wage structure that we utilize to account for these additional costs in wages. We will continue to maintain separate compensation schedules between UPHS Philadelphia-based campuses and CCH.

We do know that if an employee is currently working at CCH and another UPHS entity as part time or as per diem—the total number of worked hours between the two entities must be considered in overtime pay. We will be conducting an inventory to ensure that individuals who are dually employed are advised of the new process for managing overtime.
