Will CCH employees applying for positions on other UPHS campuses be considered an internal applicant (and vice versa)?

Judy L. Schueler
Vice President Organization Development & Chief Human Resource Officer, UPHS

All UPHS employees will receive preferences as an ‘internal applicant’ regardless of entity employment. As a result, date of hire will be recognized in all inter-entity transfers with transfer of paid time off (inclusive of personal, holiday, vacation and sick days).

An employee accepting a position at CCH will be subject to CCH’s current compensation and benefit structure. Also, CCH employees accepting a position at another UPHS entity will be subject to current UPHS compensation and benefit structure.

We will gradually move toward more consistent practices in hiring and selection for both external and internal candidates for employment across Penn Medicine.
