Does the acquisition of CCH drain financial resources that would have been deployed to the existing UPHS campuses?

Phil Okala
SVP, Business Development, UPHS
The non-cash acquisition of CCH is an investment in the future of Penn Medicine. Through this alliance we expect to build patient care in Chester County and increase downstream referrals for more advanced, complex care to our Philadelphia campuses. While Penn Medicine has made a commitment to provide capital resources to CCH—it is anticipated that these resources will be funded through CCH’s operating margin in accordance with the multi-year financial plan.
